The subject of the present research is the presentation of events from the lives of great athletes of the ancient antiquities, namely the boxing, the wrestling and the Pankration. Based on the information we derive from the ancient Greek scriptures we observe how some of the athletes were not just turned into heroes but also worshiped and as gods.
