Essential components for rendering healthcare services
are the provision of adequate clean Water, Sanitation and
Hygiene (WASH) and its practices. The presence of Water,
Sanitation and Hygiene facilities within healthcare settings
helps to minimize the risk of contacting hospital acquired
infections and its spread. It also preserves the dignity of
vulnerable populations such as pregnant women, children
under -5 and the elderly.
