This research was conducted to: Identify the
concept of scientific integration at IAIN Alauddin
Makassar before status transfer, Identify the concept of
scientific integration at UIN Alauddin Makassar after
status transfer, Identify the concept of change
management in the spectrum of scientific integration in
the process of transferring the status of IAIN to UIN
Alauddin Makassar. This research is a case study or field
research using qualitative methods with constructivism
paradigm. This research was conducted at UIN Alauddin
Makassar. The results of this study indicate that: The
concept of scientific integration at UIN Alauddin
Makassar is more towards the integration-interconnection
model between Islamic science and general basic science
in the belief that all knowledge comes from one source,
Allah SWT, all objects, both revelation, human nature, as
well as all the instruments for obtaining knowledge,
scientific integration at UIN Alauddin Makassar after
transferring the status of a positive influence for the
development of UIN Alauddin Makassar, it can be seen
from several components that have changed in the form of
two variations of life cycle theory, namely logical and
natural. The process of changing the status of IAIN to
UIN Alauddin Makassar is measured from the point of
scientific integration, manifested in the implementation of
the Tridarma of Higher Education, namely, education
and management, research and community service.
Recommendations for this study: The need for all
components of UIN Alauddin Makassar to refer to new
scientific integration so that it is more implementative,
practical, clear, and firm in accordance with what is
stated in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education as well as
the professional arrangement of HR and Job Descriptions
according to the field of expertise in realizing scientific
integration.
