Improving educational outcomes especially in science education will require efforts on many fronts, but a central premise of this monograph is that one part of a solution involves helping students to better regulate their learning through the use the prior knowledge. Biology as a science of life occupies an important position in the secondary school curriculum. It is designed, ultimately to educate individuals who may or may not pursue biology related careers, but at least acquire the knowledge of the basic essentials for the proper functioning of the body system. It is disciplines that seem to be synergic with other disciplines, this study therefore accessed Prior knowledge as correlate of students’ learning outcome in Biology in secondary school in Akinyele local government. Oyo state.This study adopted descriptive survey design and correlation. Data were collected from Five hundred public secondary schools biology students’ in SS2 from Akinyele local government area of Ibadan, Oyo state.
