Over geological time, the collapse of the pit of Lake Kivu and the riser of the Congo-Nile process occurs on the base flattened prior to the cretaceous tertiary then determining the entry into operation of the chain of volcanoes. The erection of the Congo-Nile rushed erosion, clearing the hills and expanding new vulnerabilities in different valleys in opposition to the flow of rivers, which in plains and lakes. The present article was produced in this geographical region of high altitude mountain forest where Sebeya River and its tributaries were formed. The river powers a hydroelectric system that provides electricity to the town of Gisenyi and to the local brewery.
